The Blue Trident Foundation was founded in 2020 by Pamela and Jaime Ellertson and they remain active members of its Board of Directors.
Pamela Ellertson confounded Blue Trident Foundation in 2020 along side her husband of over three decades, Jaime Ellertson. A lifelong nature enthusiast who was raised hiking the trails and rocky coastline of the Pacific Northwest, she ultimately earned a Master’s of Liberal Arts in Journalism from the Harvard Extension School. Her writing and photography currently focuses on the arts and environment. She has published numerous features in regional, national and international publications such as the Boston Globe, Art New England Magazine and Boat International.
Jaime Ellertson joined his wife of more than 30 years in co-founding Blue Trident in 2020, an organization dedicated to supporting initiatives that focus on people and the oceans. A seasoned business executive, investor, and technology leader, Jaime has over three decades of experience building and scaling high-growth software and SaaS companies. He is currently the Chairman & Managing Partner of Akmazo Capital, a growth equity firm he co-founded in 2021 to invest in and guide innovative technology businesses.
Previously, Jaime was the Founder and Executive Chairman of Everbridge, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVBG), a global leader in critical event management software, where he played a central role in driving the company’s growth into a market-leading public enterprise. Over the course of his career, he has served as CEO and board member for multiple successful technology companies, leading them through strategic growth, IPOs, and acquisitions.
Beyond his professional work, Jaime is passionate about basketball and had the joy of coaching both of his sons in youth programs. Today, he enjoys trying to keep up with his wife and sons on the tennis court or golf course, or spending time on his road bike. As a family, they are deeply committed to Blue Trident’s belief that a healthier planet begins with recognizing the interconnectedness of human well-being and the oceans.
Kent Ellertson lives and works in downtown Boston, MA. Since graduating from Emerson College in 2020, he has held a variety of roles across Go-To-Market teams at leading SaaS companies. He currently serves on the Key Accounts team at Datadog, where he supports a diverse portfolio of customers.
Outside of work, Kent is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking and backpacking throughout New England, as well as spending summers on the water scuba diving and fishing. He is passionate about ocean conservation along the East Coast, food security in the communities close to his family, and advancing heart health initiatives. Through his involvement with Blue Trident, Kent contributes by researching and evaluating new charities for partnership and providing technical support to the organization.
